Marketplanet has signed a contract for implementation of the Marketplanet purchasing Platform in Konsalnet Holding Group. Under the contract, the solution will be launched in 11 companies of the Group in Poland. The project will cover the area ranging from establishing a need for a purchase to the purchase settlement in the form of an electronic invoice, as well as integration with the Microsoft Dynamics AX financial and accounting system of the Group.
The Marketplanet Platform is an innovative solution that allows for enhancement and automation of the purchasing process. The automation covers the entire Purchase-to-Pay process of the organisation across all the companies of the Group. All the activities of establishing a need, its approval, a purchase order, invoicing by the supplier and the invoice settlement will be conducted electronically. As part of the project, the Marketplanet solution will be integrated with the Microsoft Dynamic AX financial and accounting system of the Konsalnet Holding Group, which will enable the company to fully automate the settlement and accounting of purchase invoices. Additionally, to communicate with the market electronically, the company will apply an innovative marketplace (Marketplanet OnePlace).
Dispersed information, different purchasing processes in individual companies and limited access to on-line data were the main reasons for seeking a unified tool for the entire Group – says Jacek Pogonowski, the President of Konsalnet Holding S.A. One of the key aims of the implementation was to generate financial savings and reduce operational costs as well as to build a central depository of information about expenses, settlements and contracts.
The tool will replace the traditional circulation of paper documents and will allow the company to monitor the purchasing process, verify the categories of purchased products, prepare multi-dimensional reports and to control purchasing costs. The project also covers creating a central contracts repository for the entire Group, including catalogue contracts. The catalogue contracts are targeted solutions that significantly enhance the process of initiation and settlement of purchase orders. Electronic communication will bring financial and processes’ savings across the Group. It will also improve the conduct of the process inside the organisation by relieving employees from the strenuous activities of paper documents processing such as entering the same documents to several different information technology systems.
„We decided to cooperate with Marketplanet because of its reliability, unique experience and its Marketplanet Platform being one of the leading Purchase-to-Pay process-supporting systems. The Software as a Service model allows us to optimise the implementation costs, while ensuring the desired levels of data security and suppliers’ service. It is also essential that the solution is delivered in modules so that we may adjust the scope of the implementation to individual business needs of our Group and ensure flexibility of the implementation, adding further modules or companies” – says Mirosław Pyrzyna, the Vice-president of the Konsalnet Holding S.A. Management Board.
Another group of companies has implemented the Marketplanet Purchasing Platform
„We are happy to be selected by another group of companies to be its partner in implementation of innovative information technology tools that support the P2P process and market communication. Our company has unique experience in implementation of Electronic Purchasing Platforms for groups of companies including the biggest entities in the CEE region. One of the reasons for choosing Marketplanet’s tools is also our knowledge of the purchasing and settlement processes of big distributed organisations which we have gained during 14 years of operation in this field” – says Piotr Matysik, the President of the Management Board of Marketplanet.
The launching of the complete solution is planned for November 2015. In the meantime, we will focus our information activities on suppliers to ensure they are prepared to conduct electronic transactions as soon as the purchasing platform in Konsalnet Holding is in place.
