2011 is a special year for Marketplanet. We have been delivering solutions for corporate purchasing for ten years now. During this time we have together developed the market and improved our knowledge about purchasing in Poland, actively engaged in educational projects in order to build a community related to purchasing issues. Our beginning dates back to the times of a dot-com bubble, when we started off as an electronic commerce platform. We organised and conducted the first e-auctions in Poland. It has been a long way to the point where we are today. We have developed an original solution – the Marketplanet Platform – to support purchasing in big enterprises and have become a leader of purchasing reorganisation and IT system’s deployment in this challenging area. After the 10 years from a perspective of a person who has been engaged in the e-commerce in Poland from the very beginning, in particular in the area of IT purchase supporting solutions, I have a great respect for the achievements of the Polish companies in the area of purchasing.
